Our
Story

MORE THAN A GAME. A RESPONSIBILITY TO THE NEXT GENERATION.

Every child deserves the opportunity to discover how far their talent, determination and hard work can take them. But talent alone does not guarantee opportunity.

The Florida Minority Baseball Alliance (FMBA) was built around a simple but powerful belief: baseball should be a bridge to opportunity, not a barrier that keeps people out.

Born from a passion for the game and a commitment to Florida's baseball communities, FMBA was created to address a reality that too many families, players and coaches understand firsthand. Access to baseball opportunities can depend on more than ability. Financial resources, exposure, relationships, education and access to the right information can influence who gets opportunities and who gets overlooked.

We believe that should never be the end of someone's story.

FMBA exists to bring people together to help change that reality. We connect players, parents, coaches, schools, organizations and community partners who understand that developing baseball talent is only part of the mission. We must also develop leaders, educate families, strengthen communities and create pathways for the next generation.

Our work extends beyond the lines of a baseball field. It lives in the coach who gives a young player another chance, the parent who finally understands the recruiting process, the community that rallies behind its youth, and the business that invests in a child's future before that child ever becomes a success story.

We believe in honoring the people who paved the way, serving the people who are here today, and building opportunities for those who will come after us.

Through education, exposure, mentorship, community engagement and strategic partnerships, FMBA is working to help make baseball more accessible, more connected and more representative of the communities it serves.

We are not here simply to put on events. We are here to build relationships, remove barriers where we can, open doors, and strengthen the people and communities around the game.

This is bigger than baseball. It is about access. It is about service. It is about responsibility. It is about making sure the next generation has opportunities that the previous generation had to fight to find.

We are FMBA. And we believe the future of baseball is something we must build together.

OUR COMMITMENT: ENGAGE. EDUCATE. SUPPORT. BUILD.
